Owning sheep

One of my passions before I even knew how to count to one hundred was caring for animals, now 20+ years later my dad and I work together on our sheep farm.

 We have over sixty sheep and I own eleven. The most exciting part of owning sheep in my opinion is when one of my sheep gives birth. It is exciting because I remember when the ewe (a female sheep) got pregnant and I would have waited five months for her to give birth to her lamb. 

According to seasoned shepherds it isn't a good practice to name sheep since most of them are destined to be sent to the butcher but I can't help myself and only one of my eleven sheep is nameless. Perhaps in the future when I'm seasoned in this field I would desist from doing so.
