Get a knife, get a dog but get rid of guns. ( Molly Ivins)
This is an essay by Molly Ivins about her perspective of guns and while this may be her actual stance I can appreciate her dry humor in the third sentence where she states " in the first place you have to catch up with someone in order to stab him" or "we'd turn into a whole nation of great runners." Essays like these are what captures the attention of multiple persons because of the sarcasm or witty approach.
It was also interesting when she wrote "Guns do kill. Unlike cars thats all they do" because I realized that guns actually have one purpose which cars may be used to transport persons from one place to another. This was an excellent argumentative essay and worth the read.
