A day at the theme park ( W. Bruce Cameron)

This essay was written about a parents account of taking their children to a theme park but its humorous/sarcastic tone captured my attention fully. He opened his experience by stating that an adult's tolerance at a theme park peaks at an hour which is how long it takes to walk from the parking lot to the front gate, so right away the reader is met with an exaggeration. He also lamented about the heat by stating the sun had a lack of mercy or the boiling point of his tennis shoes.

Although it wasn't a pleasant experience for the writer I can appreciate how he allows us to share his experience by relaying it to his readers in a comical way. This has actually been my favorite reading so far.
