Introduction

• The purpose of an introduction is to give readers an idea of what the essay or written piece will be covering instead of diving head first into information.

• Although the introduction is a crucial part of an essay I don't agree that it is the most important part because if there is an essay with a captivating introduction, but the paragraphs that follow are boring, if the work was to be marked, that individual would receive the most marks for one of the shortest components of the essay.

However if the introduction isn't as captivating, but the writer efficiently relays the information in an intriguing manner, the majority of the task (to relay information) would be complete.

• When writing an essay, some elements I would use are, an introduction a body that consists of three or more paragraphs and a summary.

• For many many years people born in the Caribbean have used both donkeys and horses as means of transportation before cars became popular. In order to do this however both horses and donkeys need to be tamed since they are born wild. This essay serves to provide step by step information on how to do so.
